Featured![]() Gay Friendly Restaurant in Savannah, GA It was in September of 2005 that Reed and Meredith Dulany began to develop plans to open a restaurant in Savannah. Their goal was to create a space and a menu that was simple yet refined and honest to their sophisticated southern roots. Recognizing the culinary and societal benefits of using local products whenever possible and with a desire to create a space that felt familiar, the name Local 11 Ten was decided upon. The dream of Local 11 Ten became a reality in April of 2007 when we opened our doors to an overwhelmingly positive response from our hometown community. In many ways Local 11 Ten was the first restaurant of its kind in Savannah. In a city long touted for its historical beauty and traditional Southern cuisine, Local emerged as a bright alternative - giving its guests a new perspective on fine dining in an extraordinary and contemporary setting. Situated a block south of Savannah's Forsyth Park and nestled amongst 100 year old oaks, Local 11 Ten creates a nightly dining experience complete with intelligent cuisine, a welcoming personality, and modern design. The restored 1950s-era downtown "old Savannah Bank" as the Local's call it, houses the casual, elegant restaurant devoted to popular southern flavors using local, seasonal ingredients. The cuisine is pure Southern but with strong and definitive French and Italian influences. The modern décor created by locally based, yet New York native design team Rethink Design Studio, offers guests a chic ambiance unlike any other restaurant in Savannah. Warm chocolate brown and milky cream colors pair with textures of the natural woods and exposed brick walls. The rear patio is complete with comfortable tables, as well as a quaint lounge area just outside of the bank's original drive through window, making it an ideal dining space to enjoy the warm weather and downtown charm. The artwork of local artist Troy Wandzel, wrought-iron drum lamps designed specifically for Local, 14-foot ceilings, cork walls, and our restored vault are just a few of the design elements that makes Local 11 Ten such a contempory yet inviting space. 1110 Bull Street 912.790.9000 HOURS Closed Sunday For private party information, please call General Manager Jamie Durrence at 912.790.9000 |
