The newest addition to the Tybee Island restaurant scene is a newcomer to an old location.




Grace, formerly Georges' of Tybee, has transformed the classic, Lowcountry 1923 historical building with its wide plank pine floors and sweeping, glassed-in veranda into a casual, high-end dining destination that's awash in color and a menu that reflects classic gourmet, Southern Cuisine, with a devine twist.

Nothing says that more than one of Grace's appetizer choices. Cornbread with butterbean and tomato succotash adorned with applewood smoked bacon hearkens back to a more rudimentary past - but presents the dish with a contemporary interpretation and a unique culinary flair.

Grace's appetizers take advantage of the Coastal Empire's fresh, local seafood as well. From their signature Crawfish burrito finished with a smoked gouda queso-fresco, to their secret, amazing seared Ahi Tuna, to their creamy, sinful Crab Soup, these are dishes that make Grace the new destination for Culinary addicts seeking what Grace's tagline promises... "Food For The Soul."

Grace's unique selection of entrées provides an unexpected, gourmet celebration featuring Soul food combinations like Meatloaf with macaroni and cheese and collard greens. All three elements are testaments to the merits of slow, Southern cooking that embrace a flavor all its own.

The uniqueness of Kentucky Bourbon flavors- a glaze found on the stuffed "Kurobuta" Pork Tenderloin with fresh green beans and creamy, decadent stone ground grits, is another reason to pick up the phone and make a reservation.

Cured and roasted duck with ratatouille and skillet rosemary potatoes may seem more at home at a trendy Napa Valley bistro - but you'll find it prepared perfectly at Grace.

Sandwiches satisfy more casual desires. A big 10-ounce angus burger is joined by a warm, seasoned turkey breast sandwich and homemade chicken salad to savour.

Grace's signature steak on the menu is a hearty 12-ounce ribeye served with collard greens and skillet rosemary potatoes. For those of you that prefer your temperature rare, ask Grace's Executive Chef, JJ, to prepare yours "Pittsburgh."- No one else in Savannah even comes close with this style of preparation.
